1st Hair Cut!!
Sam got his first haircut today!! Bye Bye fuzzy baby mullet!!
Just another sign that our baby is growing up faster than we could have anticipated. We feel so blessed to have him in our lives and to watch him grow and develop. This week, Sam FINALLY figured out how to use his sippy cup, which was really exciting. It's really funny to listen to him suck on the end and then gasp for air when he takes a break.
Sorry the pictures are so tiny, I'm still figuring this out. If anyone has any tips for me, I'm totally open!

Lots of words!
So let me take a moment to explain the name of my blog, and to defend myself for shamelessly stealing it from a TV show! When I step back and look at my life, it does feel rather unexpected. I am completely caught of guard by how blessed I am. Parker and I have been married (almost) 5 years, and I can honestly say I'm more in love with him now than ever! We have the worlds cutest little boy who fills my heart with so much joy I feel like I might explode. Parker has just started his career with the California Highway Patrol, and I am lucky enough to stay home and chase our rugrat around all day. However, it's easy to love him so much when he is sleeping! Check with me around noon on any given day and I'll be preparing to sell him to the highest bidder!! Just kidding....
Back to the name of my blog...Life Unexpected. When I was a little girl I never dreamed of any of this. I dreamed of a handsome and kind man sweeping me off my feet. Now, my description of being swept off my feet includes a York Peppermint Patty under my pillow or the trash being taken out before I wake up! I used to dream about living in a big beautiful house surrounded by beautiful things. Don't get me wrong, I'm still dreaming of a big beautiful house; only now I dream of it being filled with children, friends, and the Gospel of Jesus Christ.
Don't worry, I'll try to keep the babbling to a minimum! And now I'll post some pictures of my Sam!

Okay, so I'm either going to be absolutely horrible at this blogging thing...or I'll get obsessive with it. If I'm horrible, at least you get to look at this adorable picture of my two favorite people being adorable! If I get obsessive, I may rant incessantly about things no one else cares about. I guess we'll see!
